About Me

I LOVE food.

I’ve always enjoyed cooking and most of my free time was centered around food – Whether if it was spending time in my kitchen, going out to eat, watching food channels or reading about food.  I knew I had the passion about the culinary world to take it to the next level.  At the time the little light bulb went on, I was working as an Accounting & Finance Recruiter.  I never saw a future in this industry and dreading going to work every day was starting to ware on me.  I was about to turn 30 and I knew this would be the best time in my life to enroll at Kendall College.  I knew I would always wonder “What If” if I didn’t attend Culinary School.  I completed a 1 year program in December 2011 and it opened many doors for me.

In my free time, I spend time with my husband, our dog, working out and creating recipes for everyone to try. I’m often asked “Can you send me the recipe??” So in order to cut my emails down, I created this blog. I hope you enjoy the recipes I post and you’ll come back often!

No, I didn’t find the information I was looking for about Infinite Herbs. My mom bought a potted basil plant at Walmart a couple weeks ago. I was trying to find out how much soil the pot holds so I could give the plant the right amount of fertilizer. I figured out on my own though. I think it was about 12 oz, if I remember correctly. Thanks though!

Hi. I was searching for some information on an Infinite Herbs product and I came across your site. This is an awesome blog! I am also in my 30s and am into cooking and gardening. You have A LOT more knowledge about cooking then I do! I’m just starting. I basically learn by watching Gordon Ramsay shows at the moment. Haven’t done a lot of actual cooking yet. I made a five cheese pizza from scratch last year. I also made some meatballs (both using recipes from Gordon Ramsay, I believe). I make cornbread every year for Thanksgiving… and one time, several years ago, I made stuffed cornish hens. I also grow a lot of things, most of them organically. I grow different types of tomatoes and hot and sweet peppers. I also grow all kinds of herbs like oregano, thyme, basil, sage, mint, marjoram, parsley, cilantro, and chives. I hope, though, when I do get more into it, that I’m as creative as you are and the cooks in Ramsay’s shows are. The dishes are so complex sometimes that it blows my mind! …It’s been kind of a dream of mine for many years to have my own restaurant some day. I hope to use the ingredients I grow in my food. …by the way, you’re new portabella mushroom sandwich looks amazing!

I enjoyed seeing the wedding pictures.

As a fellow “foodie” I was delighted when Ruthann gave me the tasty fork site. I amalways adapting and creating new and traditional dishes in our home and attending culinary classes at home and when we travel South for the winter

Look forward to reading the sites you offer

Been looking for a Blog like this all over the Internet. Being both a widower and male, you can call me all thumbs in the kitchen. I’ve been frustrated with the fact that my cupboard is full of half empty containers of stuff I’ve had to buy to make one meal, and now what do I do with the rest? Same problem with the fridge, but that’s a bigger problem. I’ve discovered the leftovers and unused items for a recipe have a limited lifespan. I’m looking for some easy meals an old guy can fix for himself (love the progress pictures) and ideas for second meals with the leftovers. recipe
